Welcome to iKnife Collector! There is so much to Marbles Nick. Let me look at the pictures you provided and see if we can get a date for it. Do you have any idea when it might have been new? Designs changed after 1930 when Webster Marble died.
very nice knives sir....
Well to me it looks like the Ideal Hunting Knife made from 1900 to 1977. The blade should be 6 inches. Another question for you, does the butt end of the knife which I assume is also stag, does it have a pin?
For about a 5 year period, starting in 1903, Marbles did contract with Case to produce knives with that stamping. Some were made here and some in Germany. I have been unable to find a knife made that was the length you give. They made 4, 4.1/2, 5,5 1/2,6 and I believe they also made a rather large 8 inch.
The Scout knife was 4 inches long.

Butt shot. :o
Has "M.S.A. Co.
Gladstone Mich-USA" at base of blade.
Yes, 2 inches shorter you'd have a scout! We'll see if anybody else has an opinion Nick, I still think you have an early model hunting knife and I am sticking with my original assessment for the record. It fits on so many levels, blade pattern, handle, even butt. Tang stamp puts it around turn of the century.
