Oklahoma Knife Law Preemption Bill Receives DO PASS Vote In Committee - CALL/WRITE Today!

By a 14-1 vote, the Oklahoma House Judiciary Committee has issued a DO PASS recommendation on HB3367, Knife Rights' Knife Law Preemption bill. Sponsored by state Representative John Echols, HB3367 very simply adds "knives" to the state's existing Firearms Preemption Law. If you live, work or travel in Oklahoma, please contact your representative and ask him to vote YES on HB3367. Click here to find your Representative.

Whether writing or calling, all that is necessary is to simply ask them to vote in favor of HB3367. Keep it short and to the point.

Representative Echols introduced and passed HB2170 last year which removed assisted-opening knives from the list of prohibited weapons in Oklahoma. Knife Law Preemption is the next step in protecting knife owners rights in Oklahoma.

Knife Rights' signature state legislation, Knife Law Preemption ensures citizens can expect consistent enforcement of state knife laws everywhere in a state. Knife Law Preemption is the essential foundation for improving knife laws and protecting knife owners. Beginning with the nation's first Knife Law Preemption bill passed in 2010 in Arizona, Knife Rights has passed Knife Law Preemption in seven states to date.
