Thank you Ricky, its a fun knife to own. By the way tough to find now!! It came sharp and held an edge, good spring and I love the look with the two shields and that almost bluish titanium coated blade.

Nice knife. I have been considering a Canal Street knife, but I need to hold one first. I may look at them when I go to SMKW .

So here is my fav. Grampa's Pine Knot Stockman. I have previously researched this with all of the Google-fu I have and found it to be made by John Primble when he worked for the Belknap Hardware Store of Louisville, KY, where my family lives. From what I understand, John Primble owned the Belknap family money when an endeavor went south and came to Louisville, a shipping hub for the region due to the Ohio River, and worked for them to pay it of. My Grandfather worked at General Electric and was a volunteer Fire Fighter in the timeframe I found this knife to have been made.

Thank for letting me share:) Also, I showed my Uncle and he remembers this knife in his father's collection) :)

I've been collecting Stockmans for a few years now. Decided on the Stockman when I realized my knife collection was all over the place and needed some focus. This is a Coffee Table I made to display some of them.
