That's a bad fire at Pigeon Forge.  So far there have been about 60 cabins burned with several more threatened.  They were also concerned the fire might jump a ridge and threaten Pigeon Forge itself.  Thankfully no one was killed or seriously injured.

We are planning a trip there this summer and have reserved a cabin.  And naturally that includes a visit to SMKW.

Boy if you look at that video does not look good at all and this is happening right now!

Wow, Charles, I'm sure my wife and I have been there, years ago. We, passed a great time there. What happen? I'm so sad that's a great place has burned. This is really bad news, I thought about bringing my "Grand Girls" there, this summer. So Sad.

We stayed in that area last year.  Based on where the fire is and how the brush and trees in that area grow right up next to the cabins, I suspect that the cabin we stayed in probably was one that burned.

Such a shame looks like quite a bit of destruction.

Does anyone know how it started? I don't remember them saying when I saw it on the news either.

I read an article that said a cleaning man was cleaning one of the cabins and he said it looked like it started at a hot tub on the porch of an unoccupied cabin.  He said he ran to other cabins in the area warning people to get out.

I guess that hot tub was too hot.
