Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hi folks, I have been trying to find a knife maker by the name of Ray Rasmussen. I haven't had any luck though, so wondered if anyone knew of him. I found this Knife Hatchet combination recently and hope to find out about it and the maker. It is a very solid made set and since I like anything different when it comes to camping / survival sets, I really want to find as much as possible about it. Anyhow, any help on it is very much appreciated.

Possibly the same maker? https://www.dailyinterlake.com/archive/article-4d866342-dede-5166-b...

Maybe the Montana KnifeMakers Guild could help with more information as they may have known him during his time there.  http://mtknifemakers.net/

Thank you Jan, I will follow up on that information. It could very well be the same person. Thanks again!

David,

Let us know what you find out?  I love to find out if the info I give is helpful

I just joined to tell you about 3 knifes I got from Ray 30 years ago He lived in Whitefish Montana and worked at a saw shop . Made Knifes in his spare time. As you can see I use mine every hunting season. It has processed many elk and deer

Michael,

THANK YOU!  These are the makers that are the hardest to find and the knowledge you have given us is like gold!  That is a fine knife and I am sure Ray is proud to know know it is being used and loved
