Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I posted this on another forum and they sent me here. He told me the makers name.

David Sheer from South Africa made this. I bought it probably in the 90's.

Brass frame CNC, bone interframe. Coil fired.

Richard,

The only David Sheer I know of in South Africa is in gun sales.  I do have a friend from South Africa, I will check wwith him and see if he is aware of this maker.  What are you looking to find out?

I couldn't remember his name. I thought Sheer was the name of the knife. I did see a post on an SA forum that he was a gunsmith.  Was wondering if he still was active.

OK, so by that thread I am going to say Dave Sheer is indeed Dave Sheer Guns.  It is not unusual for a talented gunsmith to make knives. I would try the contact us link on his website.  There is a chat available and a good many company emails

David Sheer Knife
I just posted one of his knives for sale on bladeforums along with pics and info.
This is my first appearance on your forum I just signed on . Glad to be here. Once I get a feel for navigating this forum I’ll post some Sheer info.
