its a great knife!
Thank you!!
Thank you!

I read the website.
High carbon steel means L6 steel?
when i got my blades from SVORD i got them from a gentleman named Kyley Harris. he is a member of iKC, and he makes cKc knives. he started using the SVORD blades, but now makes his own version. like SVORD he is also from New Zealand. i have got my info from him. he has several videos where he discusses the steel of the SVORD blades on YouTube.

here... http://www.knifeforums.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/868667/tp/5/ he talks about the difference between Swedish L6 and american L6.

like you i have had a hard time actually finding somewhere that says it is L6 steel. there are some good YT videos that claim it, but no publications that i can find real fast.

i suggest that you contact Kyley Harris, and ask him for the information. he is a great guy, and i know he will be able to help you.

here is a video that Kyley did when he toured the SVORD shop.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6v5TrzsSFYk
Enjoy!!

Thank you very much!

I try it.
I orderd CKC HUNTER few days ago.
And that is the reason, SVORD is stamped
on his blade.

You solve my question,Thank You.
They are great knives and I have at least one of every knife Kyley makes and can tell you, you will be very happy with it! I just used his Hiker to peel some fruit and it is also the L6 steel. He uses the same steel to make his Belt knife and I believe the Hunter is made from the Belt knife. The Belt knife is a lot stronger than it looks, because the steel seems thin, but I have beat on mine very hard and it's never broken or chipped on me. I am going to make a video on the belt knife soon too.
I also recommend his cKc One and 2.0!
I have both in 01 steel, and am awaiting the D2 version. But the 01 steel in my One is the sharpest knife I've ever had!

Hallo, Joe
I must say you Thank you for giving me a good advice.
Now Iam waiting.
Your welcome! Kyley is a good guy and the knife will serve you well. On YouTube, a guy named virtuovice has a few videos about the hunter. Check them out!
