I believe what you have is a Ka-Bar Cutlery Bowtie knife. Pattern No 61103 with a blade length of 3 1/8. It should have a KA-BAR tang stamp on it and the absence of one may mean the blade was replaced.
Iam not familiar with schrade making a swtch knife with the wasp waist, bone handles and brass bolsters soldered to steel liners. were you refering to the parachute knives?
Steve, I have updated information there.
my guess.... blonde horn..unless bone but looks like horn{i see shades of red and so forth, which naturally comes with blonde horn.... some kind of Italian stiletto ...im not sure of circa but ill find out later for ya... but with bevel in blade i would say your Frosolone area guess is as good as any.... would you say handles are horn or bone...do i see shading of reds in it??? also if their was any markings they were probably etched along the blade and worn by now..if any at all....they pumped these stilettos all over Italy...lots unmarked. ill see about more information later.i was also thinking the blade might have been switched out but i dont think so now that i look at all the pin placement. hope i helped at all for now.
You may be on to something with the horn ref. there is definitely some red in it and parts are translucent against the liners.I have looked every where I could every where possible without tearing it apart,no markings of any kind
