Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

If anyone is interested, my dad's WWII POW journal is available for download or online viewing at www.tvsigler.com

Dad landed at Normandy on D-Day as a company commander. He fought through the hedgerows for two months before his company was over extended and got captured in a pincer counter attack.  He then spent the next nine months in Oflag 64 and Stalag IIIA at Luckenwald.

The journal contains sketches, autographs, memorabilia as well as a day to day acount of what was happening.  My son was kind enough to photograph every page, convert them to a PDF format and upload.

BTW any lines that are inked over were because of the US censor who wanted to confiscate the entire book.  Having smuggled it all over Europe, Dad wasn't about to loose it at the last minute to them.

Thank you for that Tom. What heroic service to country. Its an interesting collection and you are to be commended for keeping it up. My thanks to your Father, you and your son for what you have done and for sharing it with your fellow knife collectors.

Good stuff! A true American hero.
