The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Hello everyone! I found your group while trying to obtain some information on a Buck 110 I recently found in a pawn shop. The only thing I could find on line came from Worthpoint where a fella was trying to sell this knife from his collection. It appears the knife was made for the employees at the Buck factory to commemorate 60 years of building knives at the El Cajon facility. The blade is marked with "Thank You San Diego" for 60 Great Years! 2004, 1 of 630 and the left side handle is engraved with a picture of the Buck factory at El Cajon with the inscription, " Buck Knives El Cajon, Ca.". The opposite side of the blade is lazer signed by Chuck Buck 04, and CJ Buck 06. I figure this knife must be pretty rare since it was made just for employees but I have no idea of the value. Can anyone shed some light on that point or tell me anything else about this knife. Thanks for your time. Respectfully, John!

Thanks Steve, looking forward to hearing from you on this!
In the search for information, I did come across the auction information on Worthpoint. that was interesting and matches your description very well.
According to Eric at Arksknives, who works on nothing but Buck 110's, This particular rare, Buck 110 knife, is worth in the range of $100-150.
Don't know how you received the knife, or what you paid for it but that gives you an idea of its worth today.
Thanks Steve! That was the kind of information I was looking for. I gave $20 for the knife, out the door, at a pawn shop. No paperwork, no original box and no sheath. I think they thought the signatures on the blade were just something the previous owner had scribbled. Glad I looked it up on the net. Thanks again for your help!
my fav buck 110 i found in the trash!
the engraving was done as a thank you as the company was closing up the factory and moving to post falls Idaho
it was sold in the company store also to visitors it was during this time that many noticed that the quality of the 110 seemed to slip .. IE: packaged with grit and cleaning fluids on the blades and handles - more play in the blade , some blades sanded to thin ,.. this was chucked up to employee discontent ... many collectors while they know of this lower quality don't like to talk of it too much
