Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I live in a small town in Nova Scotia so our library is small and has older books. I came across the book above by accident. It is from blade publications isbn # 0-87341-387-3 . It was published in 1995.
The interesting thing is it shows the complete repair of a case 6488 knife. It is a very complete book on knife repair including tools needed etc.Has anyone seen or used this book before? Paul

I have never seen the book Paul but it sound interesting

i had a few copies of this book pass my way.... i have gotten anywhere from 40-55$ on ebay...it depends very much if the boards are buzzing about the book.  this book you show above is actually the second print{ i still have a copy of both the first and second print,im a book nerd but only with knife books...lol} and whats even more interesting ,is it was from a larger book,i cant remember its name now, but the section was so popular it was pulled for its own publication.the first edition i have is the only one i know of and the "redbook" is dwindling.{like "knifemakers that went west, written by PLATTS...i bought mine for 5$...great deal but i dont resell knifebooks unless i have doubles and even then its tough.ben kelley books i had i got in a stack lucky at a book store out of business sale. IT IS A  TRUE KNOW HOW book.{this book was essential in teaching me how to restore knives.BEN KELLEY jr. worked for CASE REPAIR for over 20 years and always signed his repairs on the inside liner....he worked in the southern region of repairs....sent anything to case between ...ahh i dunno...1965-1985 and maybe you have a ben kelley repair!! they actually have a market!

also i wanted to say if you have ever heard the term cutlerys stiddy or steady...thats the anvil device  you see on this cover. if anyone has one i need one.just a heads up. finally i wanna add i dont think to this day their is a better book when it comes to just taken a foder out of your pocket, taking it apart, fxing what you want...and potting it back.... after 4 knives my 5th onew was restored and i carried it for a few years no problem and now i drawered it... anyway im ramblin as usual.. just havent seen this book in a bit online and  im a fan of all knife books....

WHATEVER YOU COLLECT BUY BOOKS ON THEM BEFORE YOU EVEN COLLECT THE KNIFE.....would you give your money to your broker first blindly....and then a year later ask to look at your portfolio for the first time??

READ KNIFE BOOKS.......PLEASE IT HELPS US ALL!

best knife restoration book ever written!
