The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
It's been a while since I was on this site last, but WOW, in the meantime GEC has continued to impress. Not really with their new releases, but with the everything I already have. I'm especially impressed with the #12 Toothpick. I recently had the opportunity to test the Tpick with a chore I've always loved to do, I shared my experience with the Tpick on GEC's website ,so I figured I'd share it here as well.
The trout were already cold as I took them off the stringers, my hands began to numb quickly as I lined them up. I reached for the golden object in my watch pocket, the subject of my test. The blade snapped open in the silent, chilly, breeze of the afternoon, I enjoyed the warmth the Elk stag shared with my hands for a moment, then I began my duties. The sharp blade made the job an easy one, and in a strange way, an enjoyable one. I set the knife on the freezing ground to wash the trout out, the cool water didn't help my hands any. When I was done thoroughly washing the first trout out, I reached again for the toothpick, my hand was happily greeted by the warmth still held by the elk stag, it was the warmth of my hand still in the scales. It did a perfect job, and I'm very pleased to have had it by my side.

That was almost a two months ago, I've enjoyed a few more occasions on the trout streams since then and I really have fallen in love with this GEC, I've done up a few more trout and the edge still holds. I'm sure I could put a better edge on it, but while it's still shaving sharp, I see no use.

It's good to be back, and it's good to see the love for GEC is still going strong.

Johnny,
We sure have missed you. The trout story is one of my favorites. I am with Robert, we would love to hear more
Great to have you back with us Johnny!!
Love your article and your great photos. I hope we'll have many more.
As we both know, our little GEC "partners" help make our outings special and just a bit more fun.
I've been out a lot less this year than years prior, but I still have a few good memories and stories of this years trout season. I'll get around to sharing them soon.
And thanks for the welcome back guys,
