The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Hey, Folks.
I recently purchased a fixed blade knife on eBay. It appears to be well made and fairly stout, with brown linen micarta scales and a very stylish sheath. The only marking on it says Varisco 91 etched into the obverse side of the blade. In my research I have found an obituary for an Angelo Varisco who passed away on March 31, 2007. The obituary contains a comment that "Mr. Varisco won many awards for his handmade knives and was also a talented leathercraft artist." There is also a Mattia Varisco from Maggiore Lake - Italy who posts pictures of knives on Pinterest.
I would appreciate any information you might have about this maker and his knives. Thank you in advance.

Question Duane, have you reached out to the gentleman on Pinterest and asked if it is one of his? The chances are good that if it is not his, he may know who the other maker is
