With names like stockman, trapper, muskrat and so on, it is self evident that most traditional pattern pocket knives began life for use in the great outdoors.  What is your "go to" traditional  or modern pattern knife that follows you in the great outdoors?   And if the answer is a camp/utility or Swiss Army Style knife or multi-tool, what is the other knife that might tag along?

I usually carry a few knives and sometimes a fixed blade depending on what I am doing...but the one knife that never leaves my side or my pocket is a stockman!

Thought you might say that, Steve.  I almost always have my Rough Rider 844 fixed blade and then Victorinox Swiss Army knife.  But the traditional pattern that seems to find itself tagging along tends to be a Hawkbill of some find. I even keep one in the bug-out bag.  This Hibbard is my go to but I recently got a Lock-back Rite Edge with a bail that I'm going to take out as soon I can walk in the woods/swamp again.
