I thought it maybe interesting to list some of the other notable Sheffield cutlers during the "golden age" of cutlery. Of course the two that come to mind are
Joseph Rogers and Geo. Wostenholm and sons.
Who should be mentioned along with these two?

Other big names included Thomas Turner & Co, George Butler & Co, Harrison Bros and Howson, Christopher Johnson & Co, Lockwood Bros, Southern and Richardson, Francis Newton. According to Tweedale's The Sheffield Knife Book, the top six companies in terms of number of employees in 1890 were Jos Rodgers (2000), Walker and Hall (800), James Dixon (800), George Wostenholm (700), George Butler (400) & Harrison bros & Howson (350+). Walker and Hall and James Dixon's main business was silverplated goods and table cutlery.
