OK - here is my favorite knife for today - my 1980 Kershaw "Special Agent", and she is as beautiful today as the day I bought her!

Let's just sit back and admire for awhile, shall we?

Well with a story like that Jan...any pic will do! I wondered how long iKC members would let me dominate this club before someone else posted. What a great act to follow too!

Great knife Jan!

Ok, I looked and looked because i wanted to start with my absolute, will always be favorite.  It is a horrible pic

It is my favorite because over a one week period I got pics showing how this knife was built.  i was asking questions, learning and enjoying every minute of it.  It has everything I love.  A tear drop, a wharncliff and being privileged to watch Tony Bose build a knife , even if by email was awesome.  It is something I have been with honored with before so I didnt think alot about it. UNTIL the email came that said...girlie this knife is for sale to YOU at Blade if you want me to bring it.  You could have knocked me over with a feather. So this is my favorite

Another classic blade from the archives of my collection is my Western W75 Boot knife. The smaller brother of the equally popular W77, the W75 is a diamond in the rough. At one time in the early '80's, you could pick one of these up for under $20.00 anywhere - and I mean anywhere that sold any form of a "sport knife". Who knew back then these little gems would command a $100 on Ebay for one half as handsome as mine!

I bought mine with the specific purpose of wearing it on my pack shoulder straps while serving as a SAR Deputy of Maricopa County, Arizona. It soon became my pack-buddy, only being pulled once in an act of aggression - it was the nearest thing available to scoot a tarantula spider off my gear.

Lars, you sure have some sweet looking fixed blades! Thanks for sharing 'em with us.

As you said this S&W is a classic.  I wish they were still paying attention to their knife line

For the Ides of March...here is my favorite for today....A classic 1978 Smith & Wesson Outdoorsman, Serial # 13709. An original "Blackie" Collins design back when S&W put as much attention into their knives as they did their firearms.

Some things just never go out of style!

Here is today's favorite - also from Ash Knives...my Trail Boss Bowie. She features a 440C SS blade, walnut handle, a unique partial brass knuckle guard, and a brass pommel. I bought this a year ago thinking only about adding some diversity to my burgeoning Bowie collection, but the way this knife handles and performs, it quickly became a favorite. It is surprisingly light and well balanced - and an easy carry from the belt.

Thanks Ron for your comment. Yes the swedge is a false edge. There are certainly plenty of Bowies where i wish the swedge was actually sharpened, but this seems to be just right. The clip is actually deep enough that I'm not sure having it sharpened would actually add any value to it's performance or utility
