We had leftover venison steak, potatoes and fried cabbage - leftover from yesterday so Joyce didn't have to cook today, but man was it good.

We say that all the time! We think all the juices and flavors have time to marinate/meld together. Sometimes we say "We should cook it today and eat it in a couple days!" Though we can never wait. LOL!

We went to town today - ate at Panera - Baked Potato soup, Turkey-bacon sandwich and a hunk of bread, not bad but nothing like good ole home cooking.

Leftover Ham and veggies for us. I can't wait.

I love corn on the cob.  When I was growing up on the farm, we would pick field corn while it was still soft for roastin' ears.  That was the best!

We had pulled pork sandwiches and Mac and Cheese.

Charles-we used to do the same thing, pick field corn - I loved it.

One of my most favorite things in the world Ken, Macaroni and Cheese! Cass makes homemade that I can kill myself eating it!

Leftover Chicken and Macaroni and Cheese was cancelled. It's going to be Southwest Hamburger and cheese dip.

Last night, we went to our Daughters for Supper: Barbecue Chicken on the grill, baked potatoes, corn and green beans - was it ever goooood. Also my Grandaughter is in her first year of College and had to interview a War Veteran for a History paper, she interviewed me. Great time.

We hope to cook a Chuck roast on the pit, tonight. With veggies.

Went over to my younger son's house Saturday for homemade Pizza!

OMG!! Started off yesterday with Burritos at home for lunch. Then wh4en I went out later, I just had to stop at a new Wintzell's Oyster House near me for oysters, fries, slaw, and Hushpuppies. Then Fried chicken for dinner with stuffing and corn on the cob. Then took the grandchildren out for ice cream!!  I won't be hungry until Thursday!!

Today we have Rally Day at our Church, with Pizza provided afterward.

Pulled pork for the last 2 nights, dont know what is for dinner tonight yet.  I suspect something with a baked sweet potato

We had pull roast beef Poboy sandwiches, last night. I hope to cook a chicken and okra Gumbo for supper tonight. My Mom, wants to go out somewhere for lunch, with me.

Going to go out for Chinese take out in a few minutes.

Craig, have you ever had them, "Candied" ? You use a lot of sugar and butter and cook them down. I'll get you the recipe if not. I'm still working on that hot sauce.

Cass uses brown sugar to candy them Robert. She also makes mashed Sweet potatoes with Marshmallows on top, brown sugar and Pecans. I have come close to killing myself on them! LOL!

The Sweet Potatoe Capital of the world is Sunset Louisiana. It's 20 miles from my house. We can buy a 50# sack for very cheap. Have you eaten a Sweet potatoe Pie?   Yum..Yum , all good my friend.
