Not sure about this one. I made a lowball opening bid at Ebay on what looks like an original (1920s) Remington R1123 bullet knife in reasonably good condition. Nobody else bid, and I got it for way lower than it is worth if it is genuine. Stewart and Ritchie's book of Remington values gives a price for one in mint condition as $2350. I got this one for $249. When it arrives, I will take a photo and post it.
The only reason I even bid on this one was that the starting price asked was really low. I already had one of the R1123s in near mint condition. Imagine my surprise when my opening bid was the only one. The photos with the ad for the knife looked good, and it may be genuine; an example of the original 1920s bullet knives. If it is, I got an outstanding bargain. If not, I can afford to lose that 249 plus shipping. I felt it to be a gamble worth taking.
