Im new to the group, i have a knife that ive had for a couple of years know and have never been able to know anything about what kind it is there are markings on the blade but barely readable, if there is any information or feedback of how to identify knifes would greatly appreciate it, ive done countless google searches, library books, but have found nothing helpfull!
Hi Joel - This looks like a German copycat of the PUMA 6375 or 6399 "Puma Original White Hunter Auto Messer", PUMA "Original Bowies & Puma Original White Hunters" were widely copied in the 70s and 80s. You might try some German makers like Gutman, PIC, Anton Wingen Jr., etc. Post WWII many of the SOLINGEN based makers shared designs and styles and many continued to the end of the 20th century

Rob,
I agree, it may even be a white hunter. The etching on the blade says Sportsman Guide
