Yep Miss Jan, I have been reading some of Miss Sue's Knife History stories and I enjoy them. Thanks Miss Sue! For some reason most of the members of this group look so much nicer than some of the members of other groups...lol....Ya'll are doing a great job, ladies.
I want to wish all the "Mothers" in this group and in our club, a very happy "Mothers Day". Bless ya'll....Ya'll have the most important job in the world!
We must ask ourselves, "Is it better to give a lady a fish, or to teach the lady to fish"? Well, I don't have to ask my mother, she wants it caught, clean and cooked just fine. I hope all the Mothers out there get what ever they want, I'm sure they all should get a fair reward.
I had a wonderful relaxing Mothers Day. Donnie direction to me when I took him breakfast was go have a day for yourself, you deserve it. So I did just that, did all the girlie things I don't seem to get as much time to do as I would like
Until last year I had collected for almost 20 years without having owned a pink knife. And I was pretty stubborn about it also. Nothing about bubba gum pink ever enticed me. Then Great Eastern came out with my fav whittler pattern in a pink shell and I broke my stride. Been in my pocketbook since. This week I received a gift of it's replacement for an EDC. This little Kershaw is outstanding. assisted opening, it flies right out and locks up tight. I really like that it has a lock for when you are carrying it to keep it from opening unless you mean it to. So here is my newest EDC
Spent a little time doing some research on my newest pattern love. The reason the cotton sampler blade is shaped the way it is? The cutout is so that the buyer could wrap up some of the cotton strands and rub them on a hard object (like a board) to test the strength of the strands
Well, we have had a generous dealer supplies us with some items to give away at the IKC meet and greet. If you will be in Atlanta come on by at 4pm on Friday. We will be beside the GEC/Daniels booth in the food court area
Some of my favorite folks in the knife world, Ms Dellana and her husband Van Barnett. Just always welcoming , warm and have the greatest blade art! Here is some knife jewelry for you Sue
I met some wonderful folks at the Blade Show. Many manufactures had women representatives this year. One of them is Lindsey at CRKT. She took a few moments to speak with me, exchange cards and agree to give us some insight on her position and CRKT. I am awaiting a written response and will share it as soon as we get it. This is a wonderful young lady that knows her product line and customers.
That is so cool, I love to see women in our hobby. Please don't let her forget, we will enjoy what she has to say. Before I get in trouble, our hobby, means for all, women, men and childern. I have been misunderstood before, just trying to explain what I mean...lol
It is quite all right Robert. We knew what you meant. Hey Clint...I lost my badge and it had Lindseys card in it. Could you get her permission to give me her email address again? I sent an email to her through the web site
Not ignoring us folks, just waiting for the emails. I am sure all the ladies had to get back to work but I know we will see them this week (I am pretty hard to ignore LOL)
The funniest thing happened with Ms Dellana. We went out to dinner with the folks from GEC and when we were dropping them off at the hotel afterwards and guess who was just getting there to check in? It was nice to see her before the hustle and bustle of the show.
Her latest is going to be a golden beauty. I will ask her to to share it with us.
