I hear ya. That knife was first made as a heavy duty work knife back around the turn of the last century. It's too heavy to carry in your front pockets, but I did day before last. It feels good in my hand, open or closed, but too heavy in the pocket.
I feel weird saying this, but I never have less than 5 blades on my person at all times! Today for example, I carried the KABAR Bob Dozier Spear Point Hunter, SOG Trident, Byrd CaraCara, Boker KeyCom, and SwissTech Utili-key. What can I say? I cannot pick one knife to carry, I have to carry several because I like them all so much. (I also carry multiple blades for different EDC Tasks and or situations. It doesn't hurt to be prepared.) p.s. I also have the ColdSteel Bushman in my truck.
I am on the same page with Lee. I always have more than one knife on me but not always 5!! Today I am carrying my Spyderco Delica wave, Byrd Robin, Blackhawk Hawk Hook, Leattherman Juice(Multi-tool with blade). Today I am working outside so I have more but on a normal day I wouldn't walk out of the house with out my Delica, Blackhawk and Leatherman.
Lee is right, being prepared is never a bad thing. Never know when you will run into a situation where your life or the life of someone else could be saved by having a knife.
Lee is ready for the Zombie Apocalypse!!
Okay not really.
But I don't think it THAT strange...Ken (my bf) has been know to carry 3-4 in a day for no other reason then because he can.
Well I don't consider my job or the place where I live dangerous, but two of my knives are on my keychain which is in my pocket. Then I have two in my front right pocket and one in my back right pocket. Basically I have two that I use for tactical/self defense knives and one that has a smaller blade for socially friendly tasks. Like Keelen, I just believe in being prepared for anything, you never know what will happen. I cant wait to get my concealed carry license for my Glock... and then I can drive my tank... JK
When I think about it, I really only need two at most but I like them so much its hard to just pick one.
I always carry 2. Remember i have a tiny budget so normally i carry a spyderco byrd cara cara plain edge (for self defence(in right pocket))
and a gerber eab for regular cutting tasks.
I am glad to see that others carry multiple knives daily. I always have 2 to 4 knives daily as well as my springfield XDm on my hip. I have gotten to look at these as arms and legs and not objects. Would not feel right wityout them.
Welcome to our newest members! Glad you hooked up with us here in EDC Club. We're just a little niche' of knife guys & gals who love to carry and use our knives....not just put them up to look at.
If you have a discussion topic you'd like to put before the group...go for it. This is an open topic area.
Around the house, I typically carry a Buck 110, lately I've been carrying a Cold steel K4 neck knife. When I go out, I carry a cold steel ti-lite for self-defense, whilst still having that utility option.
As far as knives go, lately I've been carrying a Leatherman Wave on my belt, a Kershaw Skyline clipped to my right front pocket, a Boker Subcom (as a money clip) hidden in the other pocket, and a CRKT Minimalist concealed under the shirt with a MercHarness setup. And I always have my Byrd Starling S-biner ed to my set of keys (got that idea from cutlerylover). My wife thinks I'm an idiot. She's probably right, lol.
Current EDC: Leatherman Wave on my belt in the sheath from my Leatherman Kick. the sheath that comes with the wave is pure crap, IMO. Leatherman Crater C33 clipped to my right front pocket.
Think I'm gonna order an Ontario RAT-1 folder on Friday though and try that out for a while as my EDC blade. Love the blade shape on the RAT knives.
Thought I was going to have a chance to use my GE toenail today, but I didn't. Was wrapping electrician's tape on a plastic tube. I tried to tear the tape off the roll before I pulled out my knife and it tore off evenly without much effort :(

So, let me ask in response to your comment "It doesn't hurt to be prepared" Prepared for what? Where do you live? What do you do?
I can see the logic through- if you like knives, why only carry one?

I asked Luke what kind of knife he carried. He said that he carried a knife that was named after him...
