Made it in my shop here, opens like an Emerson

  • Lee Smith

My normal edc's are in the shop getting embellished. He said it might take 2 months to get them done. I have carried case knives for years. I guess I'm going to take a walk on the wild side and give these a try.

I love this thing. I should have bought a Bean years ago! Still love my 33s, but the Bean is fighting for first place!!

  • Ken Spielvogel

Craig, I like that little bean to, you are tempting me.

  • Brian Martin

This is my new edc knife I love it easy to sharpen stays sharp, I am an electrician and I am always stripping wire opening boxes cutting tape.  This came from the gun show but I really love its character!!

  • James Cole

It's obvious that this knife worked for it's place in it's owner's pocket.  Don't you just wish it could talk?

    Craig Henry

    Nice Boker Brian!

  • Ken Spielvogel

Brian, must be a real work horse, thanks for sharing.

  • Brian Martin

I have given it a whole story haha my buddies just laugh as they knife know I am full of it as a Christmas goose!! Has cut a thousand testicles off poor old calves somewhere in east texas, or whittled on some exotic german wood before finding its way over the ocean to me!!
  • Ken Spielvogel

Brian, I bet that's a true story, Knives talk, and that knife conveyed that story to you.  Poor calves.

Here's my newest EDC. I love this little thing! Case Tiny Trapper...........

  • Ken Spielvogel

    That's a beauty Craig

  • Jess Cobb

    Just the right size

  • Ron Cooper

Well, it's purdy. But, I just have to ask...How tiny is it?

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

    Thanks guys!! :)

Ron, It's 2 1/2" closed. Bigger than a Victorinox Classic, but just a bit smaller than a Case Peanut. It feels bigger than it's size would indicate. Small knives like this do about 95% of what I need a knife for everyday. For the other 5% I'm getting a Case Swayback Gent.

  • Ron Cooper

Craig, that's just about the same size as my Lakota Teal -- a knife I have carried for almost 40 years! It is also 2.5" closed with a blade whose cutting edge is only 1 5/8". And even though I EDC a Spyderco Para 2 this little guy easily handles roughly 75% of all my daily tasks. Perhaps, like yours, even more?

So, I definitely know the value of a smallish knife!

Here are some shots of my Teal...

A true workhorse. Pictured here with my Digicam Para 2...

This trio comprise the heart of my daily carry...

I will occasionally rotate my Para 2, as I own 4 variations, but the Teal and the Zebralight are ALWAYS in their designated pockets when I leave my abode -- Without exception! There is also always a Victorinox Champ Plus riding on my belt in a pouch as well as a Victorinox Classic on my keyring in my pocket. That IS my EDC!

    Craig Henry

I think I've seen that one before Ron, but worth seeing again! That's a neat little knife!

I like the camo Para 2 cool!

  • Ron Cooper

Yep, I'm sure that I have posted pics of the Teal several times before. I was just drawing a size comparison to your tiny Trapper.

I have posted pics of the Digicam Para 2 before, also.

You have to admit. They are both pretty darn photogenic, don't ya think?

    Craig Henry

    Yes, I agree! :-)

It's still my Tiny Trapper. Once I get attached to a certain knife I have a hard time switching.

  • john garcia

Carried my new sea horse whittler today. really like it even though i have not used it
  • Ron Cooper

John, once you start using that Seahorse you'll gain a much better appreciation for what a great little knife it is. The way it fits in your hand is amazing! Let us know what you think after you've used it for a spell, okay?

  • john garcia

Well i like it because it is a case and a whittler pattern and a seahorse most of all i decided i like the seahorse most. like the conoe pattern also but dont have one and trappers too. if i ever whittle anything with the seahorse i will try to post i pic. right now it just feels good to be carrying one!
  • J.J. Smith III

    Oh boy.  Another convert.

    Scott King

While not a seahorse, JJ. I did keep an old worn Case XX probably only in VG condition out of my auction to carry when I'm out walking in the woods :)
