My normal edc's are in the shop getting embellished. He said it might take 2 months to get them done. I have carried case knives for years. I guess I'm going to take a walk on the wild side and give these a try.
This is my new edc knife I love it easy to sharpen stays sharp, I am an electrician and I am always stripping wire opening boxes cutting tape. This came from the gun show but I really love its character!!
I have given it a whole story haha my buddies just laugh as they knife know I am full of it as a Christmas goose!! Has cut a thousand testicles off poor old calves somewhere in east texas, or whittled on some exotic german wood before finding its way over the ocean to me!!
Ron, It's 2 1/2" closed. Bigger than a Victorinox Classic, but just a bit smaller than a Case Peanut. It feels bigger than it's size would indicate. Small knives like this do about 95% of what I need a knife for everyday. For the other 5% I'm getting a Case Swayback Gent.
Craig, that's just about the same size as my Lakota Teal -- a knife I have carried for almost 40 years! It is also 2.5" closed with a blade whose cutting edge is only 1 5/8". And even though I EDC a Spyderco Para 2 this little guy easily handles roughly 75% of all my daily tasks. Perhaps, like yours, even more?
So, I definitely know the value of a smallish knife!
Here are some shots of my Teal...
A true workhorse. Pictured here with my Digicam Para 2...
This trio comprise the heart of my daily carry...
I will occasionally rotate my Para 2, as I own 4 variations, but the Teal and the Zebralight areALWAYSin their designated pockets when I leave my abode -- Without exception! There is also always a Victorinox Champ Plus riding on my belt in a pouch as well as a Victorinox Classic on my keyring in my pocket. That IS my EDC!
John, once you start using that Seahorse you'll gain a much better appreciation for what a great little knife it is. The way it fits in your hand is amazing! Let us know what you think after you've used it for a spell, okay?
Well i like it because it is a case and a whittler pattern and a seahorse most of all i decided i like the seahorse most. like the conoe pattern also but dont have one and trappers too. if i ever whittle anything with the seahorse i will try to post i pic. right now it just feels good to be carrying one!
