I cannot find that Texas Ranger knife  in his website. it is not avialable? How I order it?

  • Alexander Noot

There's only a 100 ready right now. There will be 900 more later on and then they'll be added to the online catalogue. If you want one of them right now you'll have to order by telephone. Ask them for the 2013 Texas Ranger and they'll know what you're talking about.

Check out this LovesLess Schrade with Shaw Leibowitz blade work with four types of metal Gold, Silver, Black Nickler and Blue Iron got it on ebay about a year ago.  It got away twice and I final got one.  Both the Blade and Handle was done by them.  Serial number 2 of 50.

  • Alexander Noot

Ah, well in that case just send them an e-mail. They have notoriously good customer service. Or you could wait a little longer and it'll be in the webshop as well.

btw I ordered my Texas Ranger. That's a good deal though, getting a nice discount there Les.

I'm having my knife sent to my brother and he'll send it on to me. Just hoping to avoid some customs charges through that route. Normally when I get something from A.G. through the mail they hit me with extra taxes every time....sometimes with close to 35-40% of the price I originally paid.

If you do not subscribe to AG's newsletter you should!

    This was in mine today:

NEXT WEEK our Weekly Special will include knives that we have on our shelves in very small quantities – too small to include in a printed catalog.  In some instances, we have only one.  These knives will include William Henry, past Schatt & Morgan series knives, Case Tony Bose knives, a handmade knife or two and six K87C and six K87P (A. G. One-Hand Knives) which we took back from an international dealer.  These are knives which we assembled ourselves back in the 1990s.  The blade steel is AUS-8.

I subscribe too. AG has some cool stuff!

  • Jan Carter

Alexander!  That is fantastic, you now have all the Ranger series right?

  • Alexander Noot

Jan now I have every model Texas Ranger produced since 2008.

I know there's a couple from before then though. He didn't do a yearly version so I'll have to look a little harder for those. But I'll see if I can start amassing some of those too.

I agree Hog, that is a beautiful knife!!

  • Alexander Noot

Those Morseths are amazing Steve. Only thing that surpasses the looks on those is the quality. The fit and finish on those is just off the charts.

Someone on E-bay that doesn't seem to know what the word "Mint" means.....Look at the point of the blade and tell me that's not worn.

Also the only one I've ever seen with filework. I'm suspecting it didn't come out of the factory like that:

    Newest email!

This week’s e-mail will be appreciated by those of you who, as indicated by our survey several weeks back, are looking for BEST prices on the knives you buy.  We have about 45 knives in this mailing with heavily discounted prices; all but two are from CRKT.  We have very small quantities on hand so order quickly.  In come cases we may be able to get more and some cases we may not.

    all the best,

    A. G.

The knives we have included in this week’s special are all handmade.  Makers include Randall, Dozier, Kressler, Morseth, Keith Murr, A. G. Russell Shopmade and Russ Kommer for Browning.  We have just a small quantity of each of these on the shelf and ready to ship.  Some will not be repeated.  Others will take three to four months to deliver once our current stock is gone.

You might also be interested to know that a friend of mine is disposing of his wonderful and large collection of Elephant Toenail folders.  If these are of interest to you, you might take a look at his website for information about the knives at http://www.elephanttoenails.com/.

    Congrats, Mr. AG.

  • Alexander Noot

That's amazing! Looking forward to seeing what me Russell will come up with to celebrate.
  • Jan Carter

We have only a few of each of the knives in this week's mailing in stock. Most of them are knives that will not be made again. However, there are two that I particularly want to draw to your attention. They are the two in the photograph to the right of this note. The top knife is a Morseth® Hunters Bowie. The handle material is Mesquite. The bottom knife is the A. G. Russell™ Shopmade® Caper with Giraffe Bone handle scales. We have made only 12 of each. Because of the availability of the handle material, it will be quite a while before we might be able to make more of these knives.

So I suspect he's got something in the pipeline. When I was over a year and a half ago they were working on some models that I haven't seen come out yet. So I'm sure they'll be coming along at sometime.

  • Jan Carter

Does anyone know what the January release is?

  • Alexander Noot

    Haven't read anything yet.
