By the way, IKC Member Derek Cooper still had several of these knives and others when last we communicated. He's listing several online, but if you favor a particular pattern or style, contact him to arrange a deal. Knives are new in box, believed to be manufactured circa 2000 and are duplicates in his collection.

This morning I had one of those "YOU KNOW YOUR A COLLECTOR WHEN" Moments

I started taking pics of the new #21 whittler that came yesterday.  not surprising, I take pics of just about everything for you all.  I love to share them.  

Check out the tangs on this sweet little whittler!  Any help in identifying them? 

I love this knife.  There is not one thing about it that doesn't scream COLLECT ME.  With a small run of only 100 in each of the two handle materials, it will become a knife in my pocket for shows

Same place you wrote your comment, Dale. 2nd icon in from the left top corner (right beside your avatar) will say Image if you put your mouse pointer over it. Click Image, then hit Choose File. Find where you have the photo saved on your computer, click on it, and it should come up in the Comments window. Hit the big blue Add Comment button below and to the right of the Comments window, and you should be all good!

These are the Large Sunfish Queen City Handles. This picture shows you what a handle looks like during the process of being routed for the shield to fit.

That's awesome, I love seeing pictures of the knvies "in process", before they are finished.  I would like to see the handle's before jigging, and the tang stamping process too.  Very cool!

Here at Queen one of the very few things we out source is our Heat Treating. This is what our blades and springs look like before they are shipped out to be heat treated. The PH on our PH-D2 blades actually stands for the company's name we heat treat through, Peters Heat Treat

Peters Heat Treat is in Meadville, PA - north of Pittsburgh, so not only are the Queen knives made in PA, but the heat treat is done in PA.

Yep, right here in my backyard.  I used to work at a tool shop in Meadville when I was in High School, and we used PHT for all the tool steel treating.
