Was in Bradford over last weekend and stopped in to Main Street Mercantile (45 Main St.). They had this Stockman in a display case.  Didn't buy it but thought you guys might like to see it.  $50.

Paul Work mainly likes Humpbacks.....for the most part. So you're safe.

Lee, a locking stockman would possibly be the ultimate knife.  I like the traditional pocket knives I grew up with and the stockman was one of them.  Actually, when I think of pocket knives of this type the stockman is the first thing that comes to mind.  However, I've become spoiled by the safety of locking pocket knives in the past few years.  What this means is I've become accustomed to not needing to be as careful.  I have cut my index finger  to the bone twice in my life because the knife didn't lock and I was careless.  If the knife blade locked my carelessness would have not resulted in red stuff coming out of my finger.  My greatest accomplishment the first time it happened (about 10 years old) was hiding the seriousness of the cut from my mother.  She would have had me in the ER!  :eek: :)  Anyway, congratulations on your find.  Not knowing any more than I do I just assumed there was no such knife. Wrong again I'm glad to say. :)_

I have always loved the stockman pattern.  I especially like the one that has the cutting punch blade for making a new hole in heavy saddle leather in a pinch when you don't have a propper leather punch handy.

I love these patterns too - especially with  4 blades...

I have a picture of a Camillus Sword Brand 3 blade stockman with the locking

switch located n the side under my photos on my page.

I believe it is in the stockman folder or the pattern knives folder.

I is one of the few locking sockman knives Ihave ever seen.

Hi Sunil, I bought this stockman recently.  It is one of my nicer ones

I want to get a Case Yellow Delrin stockman. Currently I have only trappers in this handle.  I cannot decide between the medium and large stockman. I don't own any Case in the large stockman size to compare with my other Case stockman's which are all medium. Any suggestions ?

Ricky, I would go with the Large. Since you already have mediums, you should get a different size just to have another option.

I have a Case 3347 that I bought several years back that is stamped as a

6347.  I believe it was made during the period when Parker owned Case.

I will have to try to remember where I put it so I can check the date. I think it

is stamped USA91, but am not sure.  I also have a 6318 in the yellow and they

are both good looking knives in my opinion.

Just put a big 4 3/8 inch closed stock on gunbroker for the advanced collector! It is a large CASE BROTHERS #340 pattern sowbelly or serpentine stock with mastodon bark ivory. I checked prices on the web, and mine is much lower. Still pricey, only five were made with the oval shield and five with the bowtie shield!

That is one sweet knife!
