That would be great....all of us sitting around sipping cider, playing with knives, getting cut. LOL!

  • Ken Spielvogel

I want in on that little gathering, except not getting cut. lol

Sounds like fun, guys. We call Hard Cider, "Apple Jack". I am not sure if that's correct?

  • Ken Spielvogel

We called hard cider "hard cider" and it had a good punch to it. But what we called apple jack was more potent and a higher % of alcohol.

  • J.J. Smith III

I always use the terms interchangeably.
Nothing better than cold apple jack.

I was wrong about the strength of alcohol. It's stronger than beer, more like wine. It should be good. I hope to post a picture of some bottled up.

  • Ken Spielvogel

We had leftovers from yesterday so Joyce didn't have to cook: Chicken, Green Beans, Fried Cabbage, Summer Squash and some Elvis Presley Cake a lady sent home with us from Church. Ummmmm

C'mon Craig tell us what you had.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Craig, you better know it was - and I wasn't even there and I can agree with you on that for sure - I love Shepherds Pie.

Thanks Craig, Bless Ya'll. A soul mate is hard to find. Hey, I left you a message if I'm able to make some hot sauce this fall, I'd like to send you some.

I cooked a deer, squirrel and smoked sausage Gumbo, for supper. Oh, with boiled eggs too. They are fighting for the first bowl. Before ya'll think it's not good, I wish ya'll could try some. Yum..Yum.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Robert, I would be more than happy to try some if I was there, you wouldn't have to coax me a bit.

  • In Memoriam

    Robert Burris

I promise, it's good. Not my first Gumbo....Ha..Ha.

  • J.J. Smith III

That sure sounded good, Robert.  All I got to have was a piece of Bojangles chicken and a biscuit.

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

I'd take some of that sausage Gumbo anytime....and there wouldn't be much left once I was done! LOL!

  • In Memoriam

    Robert Burris

They tore it up, last night. A boiled egg or two put in a Gumbo or stew, toward the end of cooking time, is great. Makes things a little richer and stretch's the meat.
