We raise and breed Australian Shepherds. Got six right now, 3 males and 3 females, two of which are in heat right now. Our youngest is named Ka-Bar. Can you guys guess where we came up with that name? Heres a hint.... a famous actor named his dog Kabar, that and I collect mostly Ka-Bar. So whos the Actor??????
This is Casey Dog. He is my 90 pound baby lab. At two he has all the energy he will ever need. He is protective but that only applys to other folks. When Donnie is making knives, he goes out to the shop and "steals" deer horns. He is kinda employed, his job is to keep things interesting around here and he does it well. Works cheap, deer horns and cheeseburgers and french fries and he is good!
He does keep me busy Rick. But he is a great joy also. He loves veggies, the only dog I know that will break the begging rule for coleslaw. not much on fruit but all veggies get his attention. Cant say he is all raw though, like any two year old he thinks a trip to McDonalds is a special treat. His full name is Carters Case Moose. Not that mom and dad like knives or anything.. James dog sure has a gorgous face
My dog is a black lab, Chilly, she can be seen doing her job in a photo on my page. She has been tasked with looking after my wife. She loves raw veggies, never been fussy on meats, would swim the english channel for mushrooms!
Good job Rick, you just won your self a doggy treat!!!! Is it wrong that I spent money on pictures of Rudolph Valentino's Dogs grave marker which reads "Kabar" for my wifes Valentines day present?
I guess my wife is one of a kind, I give her a picture of a grave stone for Rudolph Valentino's Dog KaBar for Valentines Day and she loves it. She puts up with my knife collecting and she even comes to knife shows and helps me set up, tear down and even gives me a few mins to cruise the show. I need to get her either a pink ladies TDI knife or a shirt that says "My husband went to a knife show and all I got was this crappy shirt" I am sure that will make up for all her hard work.LabDogs.bmp
Hey guys .. I got one for ya .. Dad fancies himself a "stamping guy” .. ‘n this one's nary a mark on it .. I know I looked .. so did Dad .. w/ one of those clear circle thingies .. you know .. where he gets reeeeeaaaaal close to the knife & makes those funny faces .. hehe .. it's got him stymied :)
I know .. looks like Chicago Cutlery .. but, it's not. It's from one solid pc of steel .. the tang has been reduced in thickness to 0.128~0.143 .. the base of the blade is a whopping 0.561 thick. The blade thickness tapers to 0.190 @ the beginning of the grind lines .. then slowly tapers over it's 12" length to a penetrating 0.023 right prior to the tip. The width of the blade is an impressive 2.339 @ its base.
Daisy & I are guessing a butchering instrument .I know .. real original .. but whadya think ????
I don't have a dog at the moment but I do have a dogs playing poker poster...my last dog was a hound named Lady. Found her as a stray which is easy to understand she loved running...my ex gave her away after our breakup to a nice couple with a big fenced yard...best dog i ever had though even only together maybe a year...forget what kind of hound but it was rare our vet even offered to take her...
Steel, This week my two legged brother comes home to visit with three little two legged kids. And he has a 4 legged 6 week old with him. The first day was kinda cool, lots of people to play with, get in the pool with and just have some fun. Now on day three I am wondering if you have an extra room my friend the littlest guy bites, the two leggers ride me, and splash around in my water dish. Gotta love em but I could use a vacation
hi rick and fellow k-9 lovers i thought i would tell you about harley's my k-9 s adventure i let him out in the back yard he will bark when bark when he wants back in .for some reason he was quiet for a long time he does not do that in case he is getting into something.so i go check on him and he is just laying there when i called him he turned around and had a squirrel hanging out of his mouth there was no blood he broke its neck clean.does that make him a squirrel dog ha'ha i thought might enjoy the story.
I love the Harley story. Years ago when our beagle was still around we had the same issue. He and lab wouldn't come in the house when we called so we started looking. They were just running back and forth throwing what we thought was the ball. Looked really cute until we realized they were throwing a squirrel back and forth.
