I think I'm on a Case Stag binge. I'm looking at more. It's all the fault of the guys on the Case Collectors Club and their darn "Let's see some stag" thread! LOL!
I guess to fight the stag binge you might try a similar cure that alcoholics use....the next morning after a night of drinking you have a brew! :) So after looking at lots of stag you need to see a stag pocketknife-what do you think?
Alan, I think that Blue Scroll is fantastic! Craig, that new yellow is crying out to be joined by his Slim line yellow cousin. I think Paul is enabling us!
Personally I yearn for the days of carbon bladed knives made by Case. In my mind's eye....you use the stainless or CV knives as they should be, the blades show the wear and scratches. The once shiny knife now is scared and somehow less appealing.
The shiny new carbon steel knife is also beautiful but with use and age it is like a woman who matures and blossoms and is truly your companion. Your carbon steel knife is unlike any other...unique and special and with tender care and attention will be your partner for the rest of your life.
Clint what you say is so true! With a little steel work a carbon steel beginning to dull can be returned to original edge. The down side is that those old blades lacked thickness and would flake if you worked them too much with a stone. At least the blades I'm thinking of are the early tested and before. Here poted is an example.
I appreciate carbon steel nowadays. Never used to. That being said I still lean towards stainless. But if Case has a knife I can't live without, and it's in CV, that's fine with me.
Speaking of CV..........new from Case........Mini Copperlock in CV. Have they ever made a Copperlock or Mini Copperlock in CV before, I can't remember.
