I always carry 2. Remember i have a tiny budget so normally i carry a spyderco byrd cara cara plain edge (for self defence(in right pocket))
and a gerber eab for regular cutting tasks.
  • Matthew Hiebert

I feel naked without a knife in my pocket. I've always got at least one with me. There are so many EDC options, it's very consuming.
  • duncan lemp

i agree. without a knife your truly naked.
  • kenneth noob

yeah, i could totally just walk around without my clothes and not feel out of place as long as i have my knife with me.
  • Andrew Thornton

    That's scary.
  • Adam Grandstaff

I am glad to see that others carry multiple knives daily. I always have 2 to 4 knives daily as well as my springfield XDm on my hip. I have gotten to look at these as arms and legs and not objects. Would not feel right wityout them.

Welcome to our newest members! Glad you hooked up with us here in EDC Club. We're just a little niche' of knife guys & gals who love to carry and use our knives....not just put them up to look at.

If you have a discussion topic you'd like to put before the group...go for it. This is an open topic area.

Around the house, I typically carry a Buck 110, lately I've been carrying a Cold steel K4 neck knife. When I go out, I carry a cold steel ti-lite for self-defense, whilst still having that utility option.
  • Jake Mortensen

i carry a sog tiwch II with me and im thinking of replacing it with an ak-47 or a griptilian any suggestions and reasonds for them
  • Eric Heath

Have you ever reached for your knife and its not there? ... terrible feeling
  • Matt K

As far as knives go, lately I've been carrying a Leatherman Wave on my belt, a Kershaw Skyline clipped to my right front pocket, a Boker Subcom (as a money clip) hidden in the other pocket, and a CRKT Minimalist concealed under the shirt with a MercHarness setup. And I always have my Byrd Starling S-biner ed to my set of keys (got that idea from cutlerylover). My wife thinks I'm an idiot. She's probably right, lol.

    Luke the Drifter...

I asked Luke what kind of knife he carried. He said that he carried a knife that was named after him...

    OLD TIMER.

I'm rockin' the Tenacious right now, modified with a Ziptie. LOVE it so much I am going to buy another when I get the chance!
  • kenneth noob

got my cqc14 back from HQ and have been carrying that ever since.
  • Rusty R Halsey

Check out havalon.com - replaceable razor sharp blades! The perfect solution for me, whose whetstone destroys all knife blades.
  • Ian McEntee

Current EDC: Leatherman Wave on my belt in the sheath from my Leatherman Kick. the sheath that comes with the wave is pure crap, IMO. Leatherman Crater C33 clipped to my right front pocket.

Think I'm gonna order an Ontario RAT-1 folder on Friday though and try that out for a while as my EDC blade. Love the blade shape on the RAT knives.
  • Anthony G.

Right now I'm carrying a Victorinox Cadet. Pretty soon I'll add a Spyderco Salt 1 and/or a Spyderco Ladybug.
  • james childers

  • Edwin Meijer

I've been using my Byrd Flight last few weeks as my EDC- blade.

I appreciate all you guys and gals here. When you get time take part of our little EDC contest. See top discussion topic and add your vote there.

Can you imagine how many folks carry a knife everyday that aren't part of iKC? Mind boggling.

Thought I was going to have a chance to use my GE toenail today, but I didn't. Was wrapping electrician's tape on a plastic tube. I tried to tear the tape off the roll before I pulled out my knife and it tore off evenly without much effort :(
  • kenneth noob

    you're just too strong, scott.

:)...I really did want to use it, but just had to see if I really needed it first....and I didn't. Maybe better luck tomorrow.
  • Roger LeBlond

    anybody here EDC a Sebenza?
  • Keelen Grimm

I am using my Benchmade 530 as my new EDC for awhile. Great little knife and very light.

Bought me a new EDC. It's a little different for an old knife guy like me- pun intended. It is not a "pocket knife." Instead you wear in. Makes lots of sense to me. Actually it clips in a holster that is clipped on my belt, but I can't wear it to work or on my next flight. :)
If you are curious check it out.
Don't laugh cause its my first venture outside of the ol' traditional pocket knives.
  • Ian McEntee

That's a weird looking knife Scott. How is it for actual use?

Looking around their site, they have several weird looking knives, but they also have a few that look like nice gentleman's folders.

    Nick Arsenault

  • Seamus McGuinness

Gave my 19 year old daughter (my oldest) a spyerdco with her name engraved on it tonight when she came home for the weekend.... don't know if it will be an EDC for here or if it will simply be here hiking knife, but she really liked it. It is here first knife.
  • Dave White

Way to go Scott, ...I make sure my two neices are not wanting for cutlery and defensive items too. They are 18 and 22 yrs. old, and are both appreciative of my efforts. I intend to give Kimberlee an engraved SAK for graduation.
  • george morningstar

scott good presant for your daughter, i have my wifes, and 2 of our daughters birthdays in july last year i got them the rr lady leg knives the pink ones that support breast cancer they loved them , i even found pink pepper spray at bps that had support the cause on them and gave to our oldest daughter who works and lives in baltimore city she also dose the walks and things for breast cancer.

Both versions, 110 and 112, are very nice. I have several iterations of the 110 and like all of them, but they're somewhat on the heavy side. I recently bought a 112 and, for carrying, like it much better. Also fits my hand better. I'm now looking at possibly getting a Case Mako.

From the reports of AKTI and KnifeRights, our EDC's are safe for now. I know the House must vote on the amendment, and then I'm told the Prez must sign it- hope we don't have a hiccup there.

Got me a bona fida EDC today...maybe I should say I ordered it. The knives I have gotten lately have all been SO BIG (like 10 inches long-open), plus they are like collectible to me) so I decided to buy one just to be an EDC. It's only like 3 3/4" long closed and will ride in my pocket- I didn't want an clip.
It's one I am going to use, scratch and pry stuff with :) I've always wanted to put up every knife I have bought. It's the Strider PT-CC. I'll post a pic when it comes in. Got it from Plaza Cutlery- Dan's a good guy.

  • Roché

I have had one of the prototype/early version cKc Hikers for about two months now. I love that little blade. Can't wait to get the new full tang version. Kyley is a great guy to work with and does good work!
