Good show, Bob! How much would ya take for the furry co-star of your video?

  • Bob Andrews

That's old Jack! He's quite the Curmudgeon! I'll give a sack of kitty food to come get him!

  • Ron Cooper

Ha! Bob, I bet if I showed up to take 'ol Jack off your hands I wouldn't be able to pry him away from ya with a crowbar! Judging by the way he was casually grooming himself and hanging with you out on the deck he looks to be family. But you can do me a favor and give ol' Jack a little back scratch the next time you see him. And tell him that I said "howdy!"

    Cheers, mate!

I have the orange one. Love looking at it. Simple piece of art. Haven't carried it yet.

  • Bob Andrews

The 99 Farmer Jack has a lot in common with the 15 Boy's Knife. Very simple, clean lines. No fuss,no muss. A basic pocket knife, everything you need in a cutting tool, and not much else. Form follows function.

Nice Video Bob, good to see the in that media!

It's going to be a nice weekend to spend indoors in our area. If you live near Niles,Ohio, you can see the folks that make the knives for GEC. The Sportsmans Show in Niles will have Chris Tucker on Friday,Chris and William Howard (son) on Saturday. And Chris and possibly Bill Howard (owner of GEC) on Sunday. Stop by and say "Hello".

  • Jan Carter

Excellent idea Bob!  Sure wish I was close enough to visit for this one

Any one going to The Knife Roadshow at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center in Dalton, Georgia this weekend March 8 - 10? I'll have couple tables, stop by and say hi. Saturdays temp is suppose to be 65!!
  • Gary Thomas

Anyone know when GEC will post the 2012 Production Totals on their website?

  • Jan Carter

Gary, Usually right around this time of year.

I understand our own Ken Mundhenk will be at the Dalton Ga show this weekend.  Anyone else joining us?

I am working on the 2012 production totals but it will be probably April before I have completed the totals.

  • Ron Cooper

    Bob!

So glad to hear that you were refunded for your Case misery. Too bad it didn't work out. By the time your new knives from GEC arrive the Case of the missing stag will just be a distant memory. Hopefully they will be trouble free!

    Cheers, my friend.

P.S., I have instructed my Victorinox Buddha to send ONLY good vibes in your direction, henceforth! The Mojo has been lifted -- so try to behave yourself. <grin>

That's a nice looking Moose! Is Robert working his magic on you too Bob? LOL!

  • In Memoriam

    Robert Burris

Yea, guys and gals, the Moose is working on all of Ya'll. Ha, Ha, the magic is that not many knife  brands, make alot of knives in this pattern. I would, think, that right off the bat, they become more collectable than others. Moose, Knives, for ever! Yea.  Wha- Hoo- Yha - Hoo....

  • Jan Carter

    ROFL!

Wowsa, Jan! That really is candy for my aging eyes! How sweet is that! Is that yours or Donnie's?

  • Stanley May

I received my rosewood Champlin Eureka Jack today.  It is one gorgeous knife and am fortunate to have one.  Wonderful shape/size and the rosewood is among the best I have ever seen.

  • Ron Cooper

The knives are beautiful and I loved your analogies, also. My ex-wife would have fallen into the Terrier category. Ultimately it was my wallet that took the biggest "nip" of all. *sigh* Thankfully all of that ugliest is just a fading memory now. These days it's only my knives that give me an occasional nip.

I digress. These are fantastic, Bob! It's a shame you blokes across the pond are extorted the way you are. Good knives are expensive to begin with. Having to pay such exorbitant duty fees on top of the original purchase price seems outright criminal to me. I hope these two have no issues and that they will serve you well for many years to come.

    Cheers, mate!

  • Jan Carter

    Ron,

Those two are for the collection and we pretty much share that category LOL.  Donnie does have a user in the stag and has diligently used it this week.  I have him committed to doing a review on the user aspects this weekend.  I can tell you already, the comfort in the hand factor is a 10!

Stanley, Glad you got yours too.  This is a piece people are going to wish they had gotten

    Bob,

Like you said it is a ransom you pay!  I am glad you like them both and I think your right, different knives, feel and uses.  Cant wait to hear more after the pocket time

  • Jan Carter

Anyone in TX?  I would love to hear how the Tulsa show goes.  I know Docs Knives will be there, Bruce wrote on the board...Hey, Doc's Knife Works will be in the back, up stairs of the building. Just bringing Great Eastern Cutlery this time.

Are any other dealers attending this one?

  • Clint Thompson

I will be there for one day (Sat.) helping a buddy of mine.

  • Jan Carter

Wish I could have made this show!

Clint, what booth will you be at?

  • Lee Smith

I'm not setting up but If I don't have to work I'm going to be there. I work in Tulsa.

  • Clint Thompson

The booth is rented by my barber who will be selling a few guns and such.  I will just be there for support and helping with the sales.  I have worked gun shows for years and find them to be fun and you meet some nice people.

  • Clint Thompson

I will be there on the Saturday from mid morning to close....unless I am out of state for some reason.  Message me and I will give you my phone number.

  • Jan Carter

Someone take some pics and tell us how the show is?  Next year I want to do this show!!!!

  • Jan Carter

    WOOOHOOO!  One escaped the ransom!

  • Ron Cooper

Wow, Bob! Talk about an Easter miracle! And it's a Yellow Rose, to boot! Woo Hoo!

Happy Easter! Enjoy all of your new knives, my friend!

Thanks Bob!  This is great info on the boys knives!

  • Clint Thompson

    Bob...

Nice looking knife.....which could be called a manly knife.  OR....or...a large womanly purse knife.  No matter where the big bugger migrated to in your purse, you will be able to quickly find it.
