Miss Jan, ask them what "Babylon Hill" means. Tell everyone hello for us Poboys and Gals.lol

  • David Adkins

Babylon Hill was the house of ill repute once owned by Ben Hogan and Kate LeCounte  (French Kate). It was on a hill  outside Tidioute.

    Robert Burris

Wow, I see, thanks David. It sounds like a place down in New Orleans, it was so bad, if you didn't have a knife when you got there, they'd give you one.

  • Jan Carter

Babylon Hill is a summit (or hill) in Tidioute, Pennsylvania.  It forms the west border of the Allegheny National Forest.  The rest of it David shared LOL

  • Jan Carter

Chris and Billy were kind enough to allow us a first look at the Blade Show knives and they are SWEET.  The 06 Pemberton is available in both interior and exterior Ivory.  This is the first time I have held the Pemberton, I like the size and in Ivory it is beautiful.  The Swing guard is making its debut available in CheChen Rose and Kingwood for the show

  • Alexander Noot

Those are some nice looking knives.

  • Jan Carter

Thank you Alexander, these are the two that came home :)

  • Ron Cooper

Those are REALLY SWEET, Jan! I love the shield! Ivory??? What kind of Ivory is that?

  • In Memoriam

    Robert Burris

Wow Miss Jan, I like em, I like em a lot. I seem to never see these offered for sell anymore. With Ivory, I mean.

  • Jan Carter

Thanks guys! It is Elephant Ivory, one bark and one interior.  They were a special run for the Blade show and they are pretty amazing!

193 members in this group and not one comment in 10 days? What's up with that?

  • Jan Carter

  • In Memoriam

    Robert Burris

Hey now, what's up with the Rendezvous, knife this year. We had a few guess and a few opinions but we need to find out what GEC collectors think it will be.

  • In Memoriam

    Robert Burris

My guess was a large Whittler, back in May, but what the heck to I know. Ya'll, give it your best guess.

  • Bob Andrews

Has anybody heard from Johnny Two Shoes? He used to be very active here but I haven't heard or seen anything of him in quite some time. I'm assuming he's a very busy young man?

  • Jan Carter

    Bob,

Johnny has indeed become a very busy young man.  I am hoping we will be able to see  him this year

  • Bob Andrews

I certainly hope so too Jan!

  • Jan Carter

Bob I sent Johnny an email to see if he and the family will be coming
