you are correct that is made by Queen, before the transition.  I really like the TVCC although that is the one i did not get, just came out at a low $ time.

I would really like to see the Aged Honey Amber Stag Bone Series continue forward with D2, a really superior steel .  I'm part way home on filling out this collection.  I would hate to see  collectors stymied with a change.  I am a fan of the old carbon steel and there are plenty of opportunities for its' use elsewhere, PS Thank you for keeping this line available.

I'd like to see them come back with a full line of genuine Winterbottom Bone handles too. And a Peanut :)

Did you all know that Queen works with so many different types of steel?

The work horse line is 1095

The country Cousins line is D2

The fixed blades are 420 HC Stainless

I just did not realize they used such a variety

Also the Queen City series uses 1095. And the Honey Amber Bone uses D2.

There doesn't seem to be many companies out there that have such a good line up of steels

I think the D2 is what stands out for them. Of course some love D2, some don't. "They" say it's hard to sharpen. I don't know, I've never used it or tried to sharpen it.

But, I WILL get a Queen fairly soon with D2.

My new Queen is GREAT!!!!

This is a couple of old Queen knives that I own, they are both very well made. One is a light user and the other is in my collection. After, years of use, you almost can't tell the difference. I hope to buy and support, the Queen Company and wish them all the best.

Nice knives Robert! I'd like to get the non-lockback Mountain Man......maybe next month.

The Mountain Man model by Queen is a great knife for the Outdoorsman and is wonderful to look at. The model with amber bone has caught my eye for sometime now. I wish Queen would make some with 440c steel instead of D2. I find both steels good but 440c, is easier to fool with in the feild.

Robert, the Honey Amber Stag Bone is fantastic! I hope I can get some pictures of my new Queen #69 with it up soon.

I have never held a mountain man but I understand it is the top of line folder for its size.  Next show...I am checking them out
