Queen Cutlery & Friends

Knives have been made at the factory of Queen Cutlery Company of Titusville Pennsylvania for over 100 years. It is arguably the oldest and last American Cutlery that truly continues to produce knives in the same way as they were produced there when the factory opened in 1902. The factory’s first tenant was the Schatt & Morgan Cutlery Company: Queen Cutlery Company displaced Schatt & Morgan there in 1933. Queen City Cutlery Company first began to produce knives in 1918 around the end of the First World War, incorporated in 1922, and shortened their name to “Queen Cutlery Company” in January of 1946.  Purchased by Daniels Family Cutlery Corporation on September 18, 2012

Maybe the new management will do some stag.....I hope.

Craig, you may also want to ask Frank if he could keep an eye out for one.

  • Jan Carter

Hey I have a question...Is this the Schatt & Morgan version of the mountain man?

  • Alexander Noot

Looks like it Jan. Offcourse it's always hard to judge size from a picture.

Yes, I have kept up with Queens Mountain Man knives and I am almost certain that the Schatt & Morgans are the same size. You will like these knives, I Garanteee.

  • Billy Oneale

I almost decided to get that Amber stag bone Mountain Man last night on Knives Live, but decided I should probably buy a present for one of my Grand kids instead. I have been drooling over this knife for about 3 years now.

Yea buddy, I am so happy for you, I know you are gonna enjoy it. The ones I own have found a home and should stay with me forever. I have one thats a Robeson, with bone handles and D2 steel, it's my user of the two. The other is a Queen, Mountain Man with great stag and 1095 carbon steel blade. I could have sold them many times but, as I say, they are here to stay. Merry Chirstmas, Craig!

  • Jan Carter

Go ahead Jan, tell yourself you're getting it!

I think these Amber Bone Queens are going to get to be a habit! I'm looking at the small Jack or Stockman, or the slim Jack for next month. If we're still here after the Zombie Apocalypse. LOL!

I have a feeling a Mountain Man Fire & Wire is in my future! Now, to decide on which handle.

    Craig Henry

Here's some neat ones I think I have to consider. Decisions, decisions.

The delrin one reminds me of the Queen we used to sell back in the 80's. But I bet it's a lot nicer now!

Craig, what model is that fixed blade? I don't think I've seen one like that before.

  • In Memoriam

    Robert Burris

Oh, I forgot to say, "I knew you would like the Mountain Man pattern".

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

    You were right Robert!

The fixed blade is the #73 Bear Head Light Hunter. It's on my "need" to get list.

Anyone know what's going on at the Queen website? When I click on some of the "Product lines" I get a blank page.

    Ryan Daniels

Sorry Craig try it now for some reason both web pares have been going messing up randomly so I appoligize.

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

Oh okay thanks! It's working now. Thanks for the help!

I'm twisting as many arms as I can to get people to buy a Queen! LOL!

    Craig Henry

Here's the specs on that Bear Head Light Hunter Robert -

  • In Memoriam

    Robert Burris

I like small fixed blades and those two fit the bill, just fine. Call me crazy, but I like 420 HC just as much as D2. That handle material has to be popular with alot of people. I love it.

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

At one time I would have preferred stainless (D2 is a "semi-stainless"), but in my old age I've gone into some kind of carbon steel Twilight Zone! LOL!

  • Jan Carter

I still prefer Carbon on the folders but the D2 makes for one really useful fixed blade

  • In Memoriam

    Robert Burris

Craig, I am a carbon steel guy and probably, always will. There is alot of people that rather the stainless and D2 stuff, and that's fine, if that's what they prefer.

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

Yeah, I've been on both sides of that fence.

  • Jan Carter

A little birdie told me that there will be some exciting things coming soon.  I wonder if the shot show will bring out some new patterns?

  • Featured

    Craig Henry

Don't hold back! You're killing me!

  • Jan Carter

Well we should know this week the show begins on the 15th :)
