Hey Ron, Gotta ask, how come you never seem to show up in Chat? Would love to shoot the ****with ya, but always see you post, but never in chat! As I am on the night shift, would enjoy chatting things up with you.
No need to apologise, Ron. :) You just seem to have alot of knowledge about various and sundry things, wish I could shoot the stuff with you outside of random comments. To each their own! Just know if you get bored on the night shift here on iKC, you can pop in and have someone to chat with! Take care!
Hello to Ron, and other members...What a great sight for knives and community, I have already been welcomed to the group by several people. Thanks to all who welcomed me ! I will post some Pics in the future of some of my favoite Knives. I Shop on E-bay Quite frequently and am always amazed at what beautiful custom knives are available. The Atlanta knife show is on my list of things to do ! Will Check back soon > Thanks All > Mike
Thanx for the warm welcome...got about 6 of them! Responded to last one, thinking you'd all see it, but apparently not. Couldn't figure out how to do a blanket welcome.....wait maybe I just figured it out...post on my own wall?
Hi Ron..I answer my phone..send text if I HAVE to..e-mail occasionally...you can laugh...but I do not know what "instant messaging" is...Mike ..Spokane WA
There may be one left. Let me know if you're interested let me know. Send me an email and we can talk. These are expensive. Well by my standards they're expensive.
Ron, thanks for your nice comments. Nature is always a joy to observe. We feel a kinship with you due to your appreciation of flowers, and the things that are attracted to them. We appreciate your friendship. God Bless, Ken and Joyce
Ron, the knife collection I am helping to sell has one of those paramilitary knives you recently purchased...how much did you pay for it ? Another knife of particular interest is one that had a round tapered tool. The owner explained that this knife was used by sailors to help pry into rope/lines that are being unknotted.
I notice you had a Puma White Hunter Ron. For a few years I worked in forestry in Scotland a friend was an ex marine and he carried a stag handled White Hunter during his service. It sure looked like it had seen some use.
Shame that knife ran off on you, I've owned a couple of Puma's but lost patience with trying to sharpen them. Eventually I started with carbon steel and found it much easier. I wanted to buy a White hunter for years ,but either couldn't afford it or didn't feel that I had enough use to keep one occupied.
Please feel free to put up a photo of Llangollen Wharf, are you familiar with that canal ? We just had a boat for the day ,we often get together with friends for birthdays etc and share the cost of a day boat. the big draw there is the Pontcysylte aquaduct.
Thanks for the welcome Ron. I hope to quickly add photos to my website galleries. Feel free to copy any you like to post here. I've just changed formats and have more work to do on the site. But, I'll get there. I'll get to know the forum and participate where I can.
Hi Ron, I wanted to thank you for the kind and generous comments you made regarding my John EK knife pictures. I have been collecting these for several years but only recently found the The 1st Generation poured lead rivet Ek. I was pretty excited about that even though it had a light logo stamp. It is in really pristine shape.I hope that doesn't bode badely for the original owner G.I., I think this knife was made about the middle of WWll , so it probably saw action.
Thanks for the birthday thoughts, Ron. We'll have to talk sometime. I started on Puma with Reforger, Buck when stationed at Fairchild . . . etc. I have one other guy who appreciates good steel & design beauty In our Veterans Affairs Community Clinic I now work. You can do some neat stuff on the computer. I'm just learning how to put up pictures--in preparation for escorting my Dad on an Honor Flight trip next month. He flew B-24 over Normandy among others.

A kind offer - I may need some help in the future, Ron.
I am bogged down in Barlows right now. I had 400 made, started selling them at the Rendevous, and they will likely be mostly gone by this weekend!
Never seen anything like it! I will spend all day down in Washington, shipping them tomorrow! I'll be glad when it is over!
