Hey Charles I hope I haven't done something stupid. I welcome any advice you can give me to keep me from putting my foot into my mouth, so to speak. Lol
  • Carl Newton

Charles, the supreme court has recently said that Chicago's anti gun laws were in violation of the second amendment and told them to come up with a possession and carry law, this is what Illinois is trying to do. Because of this ruling, precedent, any state who has anti guns laws will have to change or be subject to being sued in federal court. Its like a trickle down theory that eventually it will reach every state and has been inacted by many already. The lame street news just doesn't want you to know about this so they don't report it. Join the NRA.

Charles, I stopped at Lowes on the way to the wedding. All they had was a mini Blackhorn so I bought it. $10.44 with my military 10% discount. I love it. Took it to Church this morning. I will still look for a full size Blackhorn and a Caliber.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Charles, Great story, Lefty was still a nice Buck.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Both very nice Bucks. My two last year were both Does. Shot a 9 pt the year before with my Compound.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Yes, you are right, only the mini - but I sure like it. Thanks for the tip Charles.

  • Charles Campagna

    Thanks for the welcome, Charles.

I think I will lurk a bit until I learn the ropes!

  • Ken Spielvogel

Charles, did you see my Blackhorn? I guess it looks just like yours. I am still looking for a Caliber.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Charles, did you see I ordered the Caliber off the bay. New in camo. Can't wait to get it.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Yes I will post pics - should get it early next week.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Charles, Here it is, I love it. Thanks again for the tip.

Thanks Charles, lot of friendly people here.

Being local I eat there seldom.. it certainly is a tourist attraction that is well known.  I've worked with the Lee family for many years and they do attract the tourists.  Texas steak is good, but it does take a real person to tackle the 72oz steak.

  • Ricky L McConnell

Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to talking Case knives .

Charles, did you talk to Miss Jan? I talked to the members on Knives Live last night, about the contest.

  • Howard P Reynolds

    Charles,

Since the action was locked with the bullet in place, I thought that it would not be safe to ship it back to Taurus, so I took the gun, with the hammer taped back, as you can see in the pic, to the gun dealer where I bought it, and they shipped it back to Taurus.  Taurus then shipped them a new replacement, and I picked it up at the gun store.  Shoots pretty good with iron sights.  I didn't get any hassles, and given the type of failure, I doubt that the gun shop got any hassles either.  Shipping me a new gun was better than bad press for such complete failure of a brand new gun shooting standard factory ammo.

  • Howard P Reynolds

    Charles,

I was fortunate, and so were my 3 buddies standing near me as I was firing at the steel plate (12" X 18"), about 80 yards away.  They all stood well away when I shouldered the replacement Taurus Thunderbolt.

  • Howard P Reynolds

Thanks for the "friend".  Folks here are a great lot.  Lots of experience and lots of great knives owned by members here.

  • Ken Spielvogel

Sorry Charles, I missed that rule, use the one of my Grandson shooting the Crossbow and delete the Fanny pack. Thanks.
