yes, your correct- the Old Cutler was introduced to compete against the Old timer-
there's not much to add to what probably already know- the knives were near identical accept the old timer had a key type assembly and Colonial Old Cutler used the standard stacking of components then driving a nickel silver pin into the bolsters-
