    Tom,

You're now on the list for the custom GEC Northfield #36 black buffalo horn sunfish! please send me your contact info, name, address, and telephone number privately here by contacting me directly, you may have to "friend" me to send me an email, but that way you won't have to broadcast your private info to everybody here by commenting on my wall. I don't need your private email address. Also please remember that FedEx will not deliver to P.O. Boxes so I'll need a business or residential address. When we reach fifty orders, and we're now up to 28, I'll contact you and give everybody the go ahead to send payment directly to GEC. I'll keep you posted. Welcome to iKC and please check out the GEC Group page as well as all the other fine and fun groups available to you here!

It is the old knives that really draw me.  The history is so interesting!

Hey Tom, I just looked at your collection and I gotta say you have one of the finest collections I've saw in a long time my friend. Your GEC collection is absolutely amazing!! And when I saw on your profile that you had only been collecting for 3-5 year I was blown away. How did you get such a nice collection in such a short time? Did you give GEC your credit card # and tell em you wanted one of everything that they built? LOL!! And thats not even counting all the really nice knives from other great brands. All I can say is keep it up man because your collection is absolutely amazing!! Thanks for posting the pics for us to see!!

  • Seth King

Yeah I definitely know what you mean when you talk about getting carried away with it but its fun. I love that GEC Mammoth Ivory 25 pattern barlow you have. I've been looking for that knife forever. The good thing is that these high quality USA made knives are pretty much as good as money in the bank and in alot of cases you can make some pretty decent profit on them. But Thanks for the nice words about my knives. I've only been a IKC member for 3 days so I'll ask be posting more pics over the next few days.
  • biglmbass

Thanks, Tom.  With a little luck maybe I can reel it in.

  • johnny twoshoes

Happy Thanksgiving Tom, I hope you and yours have a wonderful day.

    Thanks for being a friend.

  • Rusty R Halsey

Boy, it is sure hard to comment with all those great GEC's scrolling by just above.  I keep getting distracted.  OK, scroll down so the knives disappear.  Thanks for your comments about my knives & pics.  Maybe you can help me with a small mystery?   I bought the Mountaineers Are Free knives without a clue what the words were about, I just liked the etched blades, the gunstock pattern and the Battle Axe logo.  Do you know what the phrase means?

    Thanks in advance

  • johnny twoshoes

Tom, I got some pics of the medics knife on my page. Check them out and let me know what you think!!! : )

You did luck out!!  Greg has gotten some very nice pieces from Ken lately.  I have some oddities that I had gotten from Ken earlier on.  What did the certificate say?  Did it come with one?  If not have you considered asking Chris to document it for your collection?  Thanks for sharing it Tom

  • Jan Carter

    Tom,

Thanks for the insight.  We have tossing up on whether or not to go with that handle material and your notes help.  GREAT now there is another handle material for us to buy too!!

Hi Tom,  Thanks for your friendship.  Yes I did see the Shepherd Hills Auction for the Green Bone Elephant Toe.  All in all I mostly try to collect hawkbill/pruner and cotton sampler knives.  You have some very fine fixed blades.  Outstanding Collection !!  Best regards, Bill
