Generally speaking (er...writing?)...I consider CRKT to be a decent knife company. Since all (I think) of their knives are imported, I'm not as "hot" on them as I am some other brands. However, they make good, high-value knives. Some of their models really ring my bell. Such is the case with the Carson M4 design. Recently (well...in 2010), CRKT released an excellent "EDC" version of their larger M4...this one is called out as the "Carson M4-02". Prior to getting the wooden-handled one shown in this photo, I acquired the white bone & black G10 version. I liked that one so well that when I saw the wood version, I just had to get it.

Frankly, though this is made in China, the quality on it is very good. The design (of course...it's a Carson!) is superb...particularly as an EDC knife. The blade is small enough to be sheeple friendly...the nicely burled wood handle scales make this polite companion even more "subdued". Really, I just dig this little beauty. Oh...I forgot to mention something definitely worth knowing; this only costs $35-$40. At that price, this is a steal!
