i agree i think this knife would look great with smooth bone! i really like using smooth and jigged bone, they look great when polished up!

Just kit work.
Got a kit "Black Powder Bag" and use it to carry my Bull Dog whittler and some pits in.
Looks real frontier with the fringe and all, but I like it.
I thought that the stubby would kind of go with that theme, especially with white smooth bone. ;-)

When it comes to tooling and all, I'm lost.

well.... i just started experimenting with making sheaths. i mean literally i just took a class last weekend, and made my first sheath for a knife that i made for my father-in-law. its kinda crude to some extent, but he will love it and its awesome for my first try!
do you "do leather"?
