Thanks l.lantz .. It's my understanding huge advances in medicine (field & surgery) came out of that .. at a deplorable cost.

I hear ya .. an antique store I used to frequent was owned by the wife of a doctor .. he collected old medical schtuff .. saw a complete intact real honest to goodness surgeons kit from civil war era .. I’d used similar meat saws while butchering .. I had to quit looking @ it .. started to get nauseated ..

The descriminating feature between a corn razor & a scalpel is the blade stop @ 180 deg & the occasional lock in the open position.
