Beautiful photo, J.J. It's hard to find photos of sailing ships in a marine context as nice as this one. I've searched the web looking fot photos like this, and have found very few. Thanks for sharing it with me.

The Spirit of South Carolina, in the Charleston Horbor.
The ship is a pilot Schooner reminiscent of the Frances Elizabeth, a vessel that was originally built by the Samuel J. Pregnall & Bros. Shipyard. Shipyard in Charleston in 1879. Plans for the Frances Elizabeth, from which the new ship has been adapted, were found in the Smithsonian Institute.
