Hi Brad,
I wish these were my everyday carries!! Thanks for the compliment. I call the knife in my profile picture and a red croc skin knife...these are all examples of our hand engraved Marino Volpe knifes. All of our knives and guns are hand engraved by some of the best engravers in the world. The camera didn't do these ones justice. I'll try to upload some better digital ones.
Tim
They look very nice. You must enjoy the times you carry them.
I'm not a huge fan of Damascus steel, merely due to personal aesthetic preference, but showing these all together as a set really makes them click with me. They look stunning, I'm taking a particular shine to the middle two.
beautiful, beautiful.....even better knowing how they feel in the hand! Experience speaking..... as opposed to opinion!
real beauty's thanks for sharing with us great work......
I'm sorry that you think that. I have no "agenda" as you call it.
I'm talking about knives. I would've said the same thing about any knife in the price bracket that you sell in. You can do two things:
1) You can ignore my comments and claim that I have an "agenda"
2) You can take it for what it is. Constructive critisism.
All I stated was that I feel the blade doesn't match the handles. There is no "agenda" there. No conspiracy theories fit. I'm just someone who doesn't automatically shout "AMAZING!!!" whenever he sees a new knife.
You can call it an occupational hazard (I'm a software quality consultant) if you like. But at least I give feedback on what I see. If you see that it's not fair because I've not held the knives you're free to send me one that I'll send back after evaluating it. Maybe I'm completely wrong on my opinion. But I lack the funds to buy many high dollar knives, especially ones by by people that claim I have an "agenda" whenever I comment on them.
Thanks Jan! Even with a digital camera sometimes the beauty doesn't show through...but I wanted to share with the group.
Alex, although I appreciate a critical eye it's clear you have some agenda that includes being critical of my product. As a member of the community I enjoy sharing what we do with the site for enjoyment. The goal isn't to mass market. I'm simply sharing some photo's.
I love the engravings on them. However the Damascus looks somewhat rough. Looks like budget carbon damascus such as from Alabama Damascus.
Even if that stuff is quite functional (which it is) on a high dollar knife like that one I'd expect some nicer damascus like stuff from Devin Thomas or from the Swedish Damasteel (stainless powder metallurgy damascus) company.
But the engravings are stunning indeed.
And the were 4 of incomparable beauty!
