This one worries me a bit, no shield just a tang stamp. Not sure on the handles I am hoping they are stag but I am not sure.

No I don't think they have been changed.  I put the knife back two times then finally took it as a package deal with the other three.  Sure fits the hand nice no wonder the barlow was my grandpa's choice for dairy farm work!

Handles look like burnt stag to me Brian.  They handle could be the reason for no shield, it is harder to place in gnarly stag.  Does it appear they have been changed?
