I'm pretty sure it shipped from Amazon itself because I used my Amazon Prime account for shipping, they get them directly from CRKT from what I understand, so it wasn't from a reseller. And yes, the model number is on the blade, running along the curve and the very end of the sharp part of the blade in a curve. The IKBS logo is across the top with Ken Onion's logo on the main part of the blade. This is backwards to the way it is on my CRKT Ken Onion Ripple though, the CRKT logo is on the opposite side. I think they just mark them all sorts of different ways. <shrug>. I'm pretty sure it's just that they switch it up.

hey mike....i am actually writing CRKT now as i just spoke to them... the lady on the phone said that..basically what you said and i also did..they switch up here they place their marks so much.. they asked if i would send an email though..which i am right now..im sending them the link to the front and back pics.

i saw your comment popped up so I stopped to write.   since im sending the links to CRKT..ill copy and paste what they have to say here..

can i ask mike.. on the side you have labeled LOCK SIDE..i see where the model number is placed..now i know CRKT switches things up...but a model number on the blade..not the buffed portion?.. do any of your other CRKTs have this?

did you buy this FROM AMAZON VIA CRKT...or did you buy this from a member of amazon?

MIKE-.i hope you dont mind helping me learn. THANK YOU.

I'm sure the lettering is just a batch run difference, I got the knife through Amazon who work directly with CRKT so it's very unlikely it'd be a fake. When I ordered it there was no option to get the other version but I see it's there now so next month I'll order it. I would like to have the Sandvik steel too. Plus it looks cool. :)

FIRST OFF SORRY ABOUT THE SUPER LONG REVIEW BELOW BUT I REALLY DO LIKE THE SWINDLES....

mike i just realized something..  I KNOW CRKT SWITCHES symbols up..but isnt that CRKT on the FRONT OF THE BLADE SUPPOSE TO HAVE THE CRKT "RIVER MOUNTAIN SYMBOL" to the left of the CRKT stamp?

ALSO THE STAMP-the tamp itself..the C is BOXED and not rounded..and CRKT the letters are much closer then i normally see them.

here is your knife on their site...

http://www.crkt.com/Swindle-Folding-Pocket-Knife-Flat-Handle?&s...

also here is a quick pic i grabbed for you of the web.also i put the keyboard down and called CRKT..but they are not open yet... i have it written here too do so and will ..ill come back and update... this is normally the   FASTEST WAY TO DO IT... if they have me email them a link i will post the reply.

LIKE I ALWAYS SAY..i could be 100% wrong.... but once i call CRKT ill find out and post!

hey mike.. i nabbed the pair for 50$ shipped NIB!!!.. FIRST RUN PRODUCTION and all those little fun things ,even the knife name ..lol.. thought that was kind of neat.

they also are very ERGO..everywhere you need jigging of the steel..LIKE MIKE AT THE BASE WHERE IT FITS IN YOU PALM... its perfect..doesnt hurt the hand at all while supplying awesome GRIP!

these are also SWEYBACKS... SWEYBACK TAC KNIVES!!??..is this new.. and they are SWEYBACKS...

THE SPINE MOUNTED CLIP IS AWESOME!!!... ITS A clip and forget it!.. works its another WIN! on this piece.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST  the smooth handled version comes with CRKT more common steel blade 18CrMoV why the jigged handled version is supplied with a nice 12C27 Sandvik steel. you can tell which is which jst by flicking the blade.the 12C27 Sandvik makes that CHINK sound thats awesome when it pops open and very much when it closes..SMOOTH HANDLED... on close mostly does that THUD ... if you know what i mean..not a sharp CLICK!

all in all ..this is one of those knives that is IMO..for the $${that alone well worth it} BUT ..A LOT OF FUN!!!!..BUILT VERY WELL..and you get to try  few new things you may not have before and features that work grat..for little $$...

MIKE GREAT KNIFE BRO!!!!..    if you can grab the other model and make a set...you will love it and youll want the smooth handle with the SANDVIK blade!...IMO...

It really is, got it on Amazon for like 30 bucks, probably the smoothest knife I have, can't begin to describe how silky it is.
