I know very little Ron ,as I have been collecting these this past 2 years.I have been blessed to find  a few,as they are not easy to come by,but I concentrate exclusively on them.

If you see any I would appreciate a heads up,I need all the help I can muster.

Just looking at it I assumed that it was a sheepsfoot with a sharp edge that would correspond to the position of what I wrongly thought was a choil. Duh! That's why I love this forum...I learn something new everyday! I had never seen a knife with that blade configuration before. Very cool! Thanks again!

That's a thumb rest Ron,on the blade that coined the "rooster comb' terminology.

The back of that blade has the top knot (rooster comb)Schrade called a budding blade with a bark loosener.

It 1st appeared in the 1936 Schrade Cat. E supplement
