That's nice Sue, the old Boker, the stories and the history. I have had so many knives and sometimes forget...the histories are the important part. Then I sell a knife and I lose all that history. It's better when I give the knife to someone, then it's like I'm passing on the stories, right? You sell it and they never care about the history.
Your dad had a good eye for his EDC.
Dad used to talk about this knife with his buddies....they compared their knives they carried daily.
Tonite I was telling my brother about this knife and the history I learned, my hubby adds that the knife was bought from a co-worker and he said it was old then. I do remember this knife when he first got it....IT LOOKED BRAND NEW.....but now it shows its age and usage from its owner that prized it daily. I have seen him cut electical wire with it, whittle with it, trim his nails with it...cut apples with it and share with the grand kids after showing them how to peel and apple. So this is a family knife remembered by many!........Thanks to IKC members for all the informative INPUT about this knife...
Sue
