Thanks Stef. The blade is pattern welded steel, about 512 layers (forged up the steel a few years back and memory not so good). The guard is some of Bob Eggerly's mosaic damascus (kind of hard to see). I carved the area around the notch at the choil for grins to sort of ease the transition from handle to blade. Carving the steel is a royal pain but worth it.

I didn't carve the handle on this one. Friend/artist House Norris carved it. No idea on time, but photo's do not do her work justice. Most of us artist do not count time, just makes us cry.
