A shot of the sun setting over Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley on December 16, 2013. The picture was taken from a hill top in my hometown of Sierra Madre. Those bumps on the left side of the horizon is the Los Angeles skyline 20 miles away.

Craig,

Indeed, we did find the The Treasure Of Sierra Madre!

Here it is again in case you missed it the first time...

The People and the Beauty that we enjoy everyday are the Real Treasures of Sierra Madre! I am so blessed to live surrounded by an abundance of both of these true Treasures. Amen!

Very nice Ron!

Hey Ron, did you ever find the treasure there in the Sierra Madre?

So beautiful, thanks for sharing Ron - God has a way of putting things in perspective.

Indeed, Ken! Another Masterpiece painted by our Creator.

Here are two more pictures that I took last night. The one on the left is of my friends who were also taking pictures of the sunset. The one on the right is of the moon rising over the mountain at precisely the same time that the sun was setting. It was magical, to say the very least!

I should also hasten to add that the temperature yesterday, when these pictures were taken, had been in the high 80's. December 16th ~ Another brutal winter day in Southern California!
