Hello all, this is my new Gil Hibben Damascus Highlander bowie. It looked to be only 1 of a 1000 made. The blade was a bit rough out of the box, so I took some Red Wing boot oil and gave it a good buffing and it turned out nice. Very happy with all the Hibben knives.

Yes, so after a little TLC this blade is beautiful.  I now have the regular and the Damascus version.  It would look great as an old west shoot out at high noon!  One on each side, and then a double slice!

Hey Steve,

No the blade wasn't rusty or damaged in any way.  It was just a bit gritty.  So I used some Red Wing boot oil and gave it good rub down and that fixed it all.
