John .. do you folks face horrific import taxes ..or.. customs restrictions ..or.. ?????
.
I've seen similar comments from others of the UK .. Australia .. some (former) eastern block countries .. etc,
referencing the additional costs relative to buying knives that ship from the USA.
.
It's an honest question ..as.. I'm simply ignorant of the facts.
...and...
the anarchist in me is all for FTG ..so.. is there a way around it ???
i.e. if it's just ONE replacement knife .. is it possible for someone in the US to simply purchase a specified replacement & mail it to a UK address ..or.. is that not a realistic possibility / solution ???
.
Just askin'
D ale
Thanks for the kind thoughts Dale , the poor wee knife was overcome by emotion at throwing off the shackles of European Domination .
O0oah .. so sorry , John.
.
Seriously .. broken backspring .. not much one can do except retire the poor thing.
And, such a nice knife too.
.
Serious bummer.
.
Must say .. appreciate your humor.
i.e. disapproval of leaving the EU.
I pulled it out of my pocket this morning Leo and it just flopped open in a sort of deceased manner . After a decent period of mourning I will consider what to do . It has been used constantly since I bought it though and the prospect of sending it back to Queen for fixing from the UK with all the various costs , it may be cheaper to buy another .
